Caring for your Granite Surface

You should not need to purchase any special cleaning supplies

to care for your granite. Most cleaning can be accomplished with

the use of warm water & liquid dish soap. For convenience you

may use Windex or Glass Plus. If you are concerned about bacteria,

use a 10% bleach solution.

StonWest recommends a sealant such as Treewax or Bee’s Oil.

Both products are natural and food grade safe.

Water will bead on a waxed surface. If water does not bead on your

granite, you may wish to apply wax to a small surface area,

let dry briefly and then buff it off, just as you would wax your car.

Continue until you have waxed the entire area you wish to seal.

Different stones require reapplying wax differently and high use areas

may require applying more often. Use the beading of water as your indicator.
